Journey

The Kladno Dubí retention reservoir has been unused for several years and is located just a few steps from Buštěhrad. Since there are not many reasons to visit this place, it is empty and forgotten. This is what I wanted to remedy in my concept. The concept is a pilgrimage route that ends with the last stop in the reservoir. I didn't change the industrial structure in any way. I worked with the sharpest corner of the tank, which I deepened and inserted a monumental column. This is complemented by the dark underlain water surface, which deepens and makes the monument feel larger due to its reflection. Steps made from the panels of the reservoir lead up to the monument and are used for sitting and contemplating in front of the monument. The concept represents the power of the moment.
