A TRIBUTE TO PETER PICHLER

The design is inspired by the work of an architect named Peter Pichler, specifically his Villa Kastelaz Hof. The main characteristics of the reference building are sloping walls, sharp corners, ramps, intersections and gradations. The proposed building is located on the Dejvice university campus, within the fourth quadrant. The entire building is symbolically lined with a gate as the entrance object of the campus. The entrance to the building itself is defined by a receding scythe wall. Natural sunlight penetrates the open interior through two triangular skylights in the ceiling, casting sharp shadows on the walls. The space serves as a gallery of ČVUT students' work, which presents and represents the various faculties to representatives of the general public.
