Meditation space

Anna Rajská

Annotation

For my design of the meditation space I chose a libretto: "We turn inward to our souls, only to turn back to the world “ For me, meditation is a journey beneath our own outer shell, a journey into the depths of the soul where we find peace and where is no room for chaos. From there we can look at the world again, with slightly different eyes, and let our thoughts flow like a river. I tried to apply this principle to the design of the meditation space on Baba Hill. The whole pavilion consists of an inner "box", the main meditation space, and an outer "cage", which has a shading function. The openness of the outer facade connects the inner space to the outside world and allows for views in all directions. At the same time, the pavilion offers a more enclosed space within itself.
