My designs are usually based on a strong thought, thorough philosophy or simply an interesting concept. Designing these two bowls, however, was an entirely different process than the one I am used to applying - inspiration came only from what I saw, not what I thought. Drapery, aluminium foil, crumpled paper. The final product and its structure then resemble the countryside in which I grew up - with its hills and creeks and small mountains. In a time of drastic and rapid life changes I unconsciously went back to the place where I grew up, to the place where I belong.
