Food Bank Outpost with a Café

Food Bank Outpost My project combines the Food Bank dispensing point, a café and a safe space for community meetings and providing support. The floorplan of this structure copies a square and the interior is determined by a grid, dividing the square into sixteen smaller ones. The structure is constructed from steel beams, glass and wooden panels, which allows it to be easily deconstructed and transported to another location. The space can be divided into two parts - the public and staff area. The public area connects the indoor seating with the outdoor terrace, where stands a staircase leading us to the roof. The roof seating is primarily inteded for clients of the Food Bank, that are seeking out help and support. Dispension point, storage and staff toilets are grouped in the back.
