SYMBIOSIS

My boat workshop is located on the eastern side of Libeň Island, near the slope to the Vltava River. It is a building for working on the construction of a ship, but at the same time provides personal facilities for sleeping, hygiene, preparing simple food or working on a computer. Near the building there is a sitting area with a fireplace for spending free time with friends or relaxing in nature. The building has a smooth, organic form that emphasizes the close connection with nature and thus brings a pleasant space for work, where the client - the shipbuilder - will be happy to return. At the same time, he also cites the form of the ship's hull - for which the workshop is primarily designed. Between these main sources of inspiration - nature and the ship - a connection is then created.
