TRIBUTE TO TADAO ANDO

The café with exhibition space for the CTU is inspired by the work of Japanese architect Tadao Ando. The building is set in the winning design for the extension of the 4th quadrant of Vítězné náměstí by the Dutch Benthem Crouwel Architects and Czech studio OVA. A line runs through the entire building, connecting the different parts and at the same time connecting the interior with the exterior by illuminating the otherwise closed spaces with daylight. The symbiosis of the two different functions of the building is underlined by a glass wall running through both floors. The café on the ground floor, extended by an outdoor garden and a covered space below, is a suitable space for relaxation. In the underground part there is a space for presentation of all CTU faculties to the public.
