Tribute to Pavel Janák

The building is a tribute to Pavel Janák, the architect whose functionalist villa in Baba inspired it. It is located in the fourth quadrant of Vítězné náměstí as an imaginary gateway to the Dejvice campus. The above-ground part of the building is open and simple, the raised part of the roof follows the geometry and forms a lantern. The design is dominated by a spiral staircase that opens up an underground space that serves as a gallery and café. The underground floor also features separate study rooms or ateliers for CTU students.
