Tribute to Mart Stam

As part of the CTU campus in Dejvice, the building is set in the 4th quadrant of Vítězné náměstí. Its function is mainly as a meeting place for students and the general public, but it also represents and offers spaces for the presentation of individual faculties. Its main floor is set below ground level, dominated by a mass of stairs and a ramp, whose position reflects the direction of the main flow of arrivals and encourages entry. The first underground floor, which in its shape and axis faces the Dejvice campus, offers in its main part raised podium levels meant for seating and apparent stratification of the whole space. With its dynamism combined with simplicity, this building connects the everyday entrance to the campus with a quiet stopping and a meeting place.
