Tribute to Rem Koolhaas

The design is inspired by the work of architect Rem Koolhaas, more specifically his Villa Dall'Ava in Paris. The main inspiration from the reference building was the duality of the two apartments that divide the common spaces and the asymmetry of the entire building. In the design, this was reflected in two different spaces that are asymmetrically connected. The building is embedded in the design of the Dejvice campus, in the premises of the fourth quadrant. The building functions as an imaginary gate and welcome to ČVUT. The entrance to the building leads to the area where there are stairs with an elevation for presentations. The whole place is illuminated by a glass structure. The second space is a gallery and is used to present the works of ČVUT‘s students to the general public.
