ŠTVANICE MUNICIPAL SPA

The project aimed to design a river spa on Štvanice island, a natural barrier between Holešovice and Karlín in Prague's center. The spa has a circular pier that goes through the main building and creates a cozy swimming area. The project was inclusive, so it avoided stairs and made the circle's slope gentle. Since the whole project was inspired by the Štvanice footbridge, recycled concrete panels were chosen as the main material for the building. The building had two parts: a café, changing rooms, and a members' room in the larger one, and a sauna in the smaller one.
