FRIENDLY HUG

In the restoration of the retention tank at Vrapic, we present a new perspective on the space, opening the gate through a radical cross-section of the northern side. Drawing inspiration from Dejvická College, where students strengthen friendships. The designed space is offering a place for gatherings and peaceful moments under the trees. At its center stands a linden, symbolizing a connection with nature. Surrounding it, a poetic scene with apple trees and a water surface encourages meetings and contemplation. The original panels, once at the tank's bottom, create a vertical theater. These playful sunlit shadows act as a separation between users and serve as portals of time, connecting the past and present. A mysterious contrast between the old and new, friendship and seclusion, emerges.
