HOUSE FOR SCULPTOR

The family house for the sculptor in Mikulov reflects the artist's soul and creativity. It serves as a residence and a sculpture studio. The architecture of the house resembles a sculptural work, its mass follows the rhythm of the surrounding houses, but the upper floor recedes, creating a contrast. Stone cladding adds monumentality to the house. A narrow corridor, passing through the interior and exterior, opens into a wide space. It is the same with the staircase leading to the garden, it evokes a feeling of freedom. The glazed courtyard connects the living area with the studio. The studio is dominated by a spiral staircase symbolizing growth and continuity.
