SLOPE LINE

In designing the building, I wanted to transform the site, which is now neglected and abandoned, into a pleasant space for the public to move around and for artists to live and work. The building is partially recessed into the hillside and continues to work with the simplicity and purity of its line on the surface. The main highest part holds studios for artists to work in, the volume of the building is dynamically guided against the terrain and goes in contrast with it. It furthermore blends in more and seeks an almost complete harmony with the surrounding landscape. In the middle of the building there is an atrium, which allows the connection of private and public spaces, interior and exterior, as well as natural lighting of the rooms. The studios have light through the roof.
