START-UP HUB

The start-up hub for artists is located in the Baba colony in Prague 6. The assignment was to design a building for two budding artists and create a background for their professional and personal life. The design also had to meet the requirements of an active house. The solution is based on the concept of one house, which is divided into private, semi-public and public functional zones. This also corresponds to the material solution of the building and mutual spatial connection. Here we find a large studio, which is connected by a cafe. A staircase from the cafe leads to the second floor to the outdoor gallery and the walkway. That will lead us to a smaller studio on the third floor. The apartment units have their own entrance facing Matějská Street. The windows face the quiet areas.
