Double house for Mrs. and Mr. Medek

The house is built with a structural plan. Given that our construction is inspired by a married couple, we designed it so that both parts work closely together and, at first glance, the house appears as a single entity. The exterior of the house visually consists of several interwoven parts, illustrating the fragmentation of surrealism, which both artists were strongly influenced by. Both parts are designed so that the ground floor serves as a daytime zone for everyday activities and visits, while the upper floors are designated for rest and work. The left side of the house belongs to Mikuláš, where the most prominent room is the elevated studio with an inserted mezzanine, allowing for the creation of both small and large-scale works. This space is illuminated by generous windows.
