the piehouse

The Piehouse is a building, that aims to support the local community and provide an alternative option to housing. It is located in a busier part of the park, specifically near one of the main iniciation points. The second floor works as co-living, or a shared house, designated for a wide spectrum of people, that are interested in communal living. This concept works mainly because of the unique floorplan of the second floor, which consists of three private living clusters. Each cluster is made up of two rooms and a bathroom which is shared by both of them. These clusters break up the floor plan and create negative space which marks the communal section of the floor. The resindents operate the Piehouse bakery, which is located on the ground floor and seamlessly connects to the promenade.
