The Box for Kruidnoten

For the Model Young Package competition, I decided to create packaging for Dutch gingerbread cookies called Kruidnoten. These are a local delicacy associated with the feast of Saint Nicholas (Sinterklaas), who arrives in Dutch towns by boat from Spain every year. Therefore, I based the shape of the packaging on a boat. I tried to reinforce the boat shape with simple graphics. On the lid, I placed a map of Europe highlighting the start and end points of Sinterklaas's journey, and thus also the journey of the Kruidnoten cookies.
