BUNGEE GUM

The design features three interconnected yet distinct units. The central unit, reminding of a piece of gum on the sidewalk, forms the heart of the structure. Alone, it would appear incomplete, but its partnership with a tall steel structure visually completes the whole. This collaboration encourage communication between the elements. Visitors are drawn to the center of the action. Along the way, they can peek into the open studios, which are lowered, allowing them to "look down at the artist or the work." Upon reaching the central space, they can explore the terrace, accessed by stairs hidden in the higher structure.
