CO:LIVING

In Holešovice, near a beautiful harbor, there's a courtyard with Trnka's Garden inside. This quiet, somewhat forgotten space is home to an old kindergarten surrounded by overgrown playgrounds and nooks. I propose creating the smallest possible building that allows for both private and shared time. Each pair of residents will have a shared apartment with basic living necessities, and everyone can spend time in the common ground floor, which includes a semi-public workshop. The building opens minimally to the surrounding courtyard. Apartments and the public ground floor communicate through glass walls opening to a central passage with stairs. Life unfolds here – in the views, on the stairs, and on the terraces, with the building's form ensuring light in the living rooms.
