Hexagon

The house for AVU is part of a villa colony for universities located in Prague - Dejvice. The main space of the house is an art studio, over one and a half floors high. On the ground floor there is a shared kitchen and a gallery from which stairs lead to the lower floors. An outside staircase and elevator lead to the upper floors. On the top two floors, the staircase is connected to the gallery, through which the residents can get to their housing units. The top two floors are hidden under a sloping roof. Dormers are used to allow light to enter the attic floors, which are also a distinctive element of the entire house. The facade of the house is made of blue fair-faced concrete, to which the silver aluminum frames of the dormers and windows.
