TERRAE MOTUS

The residential building for the HAMU Dance Faculty is part of a villa colony for higher education institutions in Prague's Dejvice district, on Glinkova Street, where a row of garages originally stood directly in front of the railway track. On the ground floor of the house, there is a modern dance studio that is accessible to the school's students and is also adapted for rental for yoga or other movement classes. The communication core of the house is an exterior staircase that runs through all floors and connects its natural terraced shape. The facade of the house is designed with an emphasis on a modern look using exposed concrete. Large windows that cover the facade are framed with wood, adding warmth and a natural element that softens the overall appearance of the building.
