Brickyard

Filip Eisenkolb

Annotation

On the outskirts of a city in the harbour, where an old factory once stood, a lighthouse has risen. This lighthouse refers to the industrial past of harbours with its appearance. The brick color, the tower resembling a factory chimney, and the roofing evoking a pitched roof reflects this era. The entire complex is designed to remind us of the times when harbours were the center of industrial activity and economic growth. The Brickyard is divided into two parts – a public area and a residential area with private access. Visitors also have access to the lighthouse tower, which offers panoramic views of the sea, the city, and the harbour.
