THE MEDITATION PAVILION AT STRAHOV DORMITORIES
Annotation
The pavilion building itself is located within the Strahov College campus in its
southern part and at the entrance to the Kinsky Gardens it forms an imaginary gateway between the rush
of student life and the tranquillity of nature. The pavilion is designed as a four-storey
tower, where each floor is defined by irregularly spaced walls. These form as many
of diversified spaces where everyone can find an environment where they feel safe and can indulge in their own meditation. The irregularity of the verticals is complemented by a clear order
of horizontal ledges.
