Contrast

Contrast project is about creating a new community center for Humpolec that also works as a residential facitlity for the elders. The new building comes to surround the already existing one, with the spaces located on the ground floor level being attributed to public functions. The privacy is rising as we go to the upper floors and the fanctions that we find on those are dedicated to fulfill the basic needs of the residents. The paint is removed from the existing buildings revealing the red brick underneath it and white brick is used on the facades of the new buildings to maintain the style but at the same time to separate the old structures from the new one's. The windows on the newerer parts are following a rule that is conected to the size and the number of existing openings.
