Smíchov Art Gallery

The Smíchov Art Gallery project is the result of the work of two students with different backgrounds, and it is both a rigid and linear building and a fluid and free one. If, on the one hand, we have a façade that continues the river, on the other hand, we have a circular façade that invites people to see what is happening inside the building, as well as to look at the river through the viewpoint. We managed to design an open, inviting, free and fluid space that allows the most diverse uses to the most diverse users. We see life in this project, we feel movement, and we hear the people who visit it. This space offers activities for everyone and manages to be a calm space, with walks along the river, while it manages to be a busy space, with the diversity of uses that it allows.
