AS CTU announces elections to the AS in the student constituency

The Academic Senate of CTU is a self-governing representative body. Its members actively participate in decision-making about the university and its future direction. The most important powers include the election of the Rector, approval of the budget and internal regulations or strategic documents. However, senators can discuss any topic and adopt resolutions on it, influencing the university's running.

Strengthening communication between academic officials and the academic community is also a critical mission. Students can actively influence events throughout the university and co-determine, in particular, academic matters through student senators and senators.

One student representative is elected to the AS of the CTU. The election period is two years.

Election schedule

• 22 October - publication of the election schedule
• 11 November at 12.00 - deadline for submission of nominations for candidates
• 14 November at 8.00 a.m. - publication of accepted candidates on the FA website
• 18 November at 13.15- presentation of candidates to the academic community in person in lecture room 111 (Krejcar) and online
• 27-28 November - ELECTIONS - electronic voting at volby.cvut.cz
• 29 November - announcement and publication of election results
• 6 December - deadline for filing objections to the election process
• 13 December - deadline for settling objections

Candidate for AS

Any member of the academic community can nominate the candidate, the candidate for AS member must agree with the nomination, i.e:

• fill in the application form with a handwritten signature and a photo with a resolution of at least 1080x1080px
• attach a text with an election programme of up to 15 lines of text
• an election slogan of 150 characters, which will be used for promotion on the FA website and social media
