Ing. Richard Železný, MSc., Ph.D.

Traffic engineer, specialist in the field of transport and urban planning. Winner of the Prix Aydalot 2017, awarded by the International Francophone Association for the Doctrine of Regional Planning (ASRDLF). Graduate of master's studies at FD CTU and doctoral studies at FA CTU. He received a French government scholarship, graduated from the ParisTech engineering institute in France, and completed his doctoral studies at the Université Paris-Est. He is currently an assistant professor at the Université de Cergy-Pontoise, and is regularly invited to CTU and École des Ponts ParisTech as an external employee. He focuses his professional interest on the interrelationships between public transport systems and urbanism, especially on the scale of an urban district.
