COMMUNITY HOUSE ČESKÝ KRUMLOV

The inhabitants of Český Krumlov are no longer identifying with the historic centre of the town and tend to leave the town. A concept has been developed which aims to involve the inhabitants in the life of the historic core through a synergy of individual projects: linking cultural and educational activities with recreational facilities and creating an alternative communication axis to lighten the historic core and make it more accessible. In my diploma seminar I built on this concept and sought to give it concrete form. In my thesis project I discuss the specific proposal that emerged from my analysis. In Český Krumlov I am designing a community centre.
