KLOKNER INSTITUTE

The aim of this thesis was to design a new building for the Klokner Research and Testing Institute of Materials and Building Structures CTU, which is currently located in the premises of UCT. The building plot is located on the intersection of Plzeňská and Bucharova streets, in the Motol district. In my design I used the building program provided by the Klokner Institute. The design of the building was significantly influenced by the sloping terrain around the Motol stream. The building consists of an administrative 5 storey part, with an atrium located in the middle of the layout. In the northern part of the plot are large industrial halls.
