ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

This thesis is focus of design an elementary school Hučák in Hradec Králové. There is research about innovation approaches to learning, education system in Czech Republic and local context of the city inside analytic part. Design itself is based on interaction with specific site circumstances of river flood plain area. Proposed urbanism defines plots for new construction around city radials and leave center of the area free for the park with new pond and school itself. School is divided into four independent buildings and placed in the island, that's provide enough private space for the learning, but also connect whole complex together. Architecture of the objects is based on clear geometric composition and functional requirements. Buildings have small scale with strong connection to surrounding landscape.
