Presentation of the book Forgotten Generation
Matúš Dulla, a professor at the Czech Technical University in Prague and the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, together with the co-authors, presented a book that is published on the occasion of the centenary of the arrival of the strongest wave of Czech architects in Slovakia. The book describes the history of their work, recalls the importance of the work and notes the social and cultural context.
The reader will find a depiction of troubled fates, important but also forgotten works by Klement Šilinger, Josef Marek, Alois Balán, Jiří Grossmann, Jindřich Mergance, Vladimír Karfík, Alfred Piffl or Jan E. Koula.
