STATENICE - STRATEGY OF VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT

The diploma thesis deals with the development of the village Statenice, which is located in the immediate vicinity of Prague. The village has undergone dramatic growth in the last 25 years, but without the adequate development of civic amenities. In the first part of the work I am dealing with the stabilization of the landscape around the village, which is damaged by the extensive growth of settlements in general. In the second part, I elaborate a strategy for the development of the village itself, from naming the most important problems and opportunities to the details of main public spaces.
