HOUSING AND NEW INTERGENERATION SOLIDARITY - PRAGUE BŘEVNOV

The volume consists of two single masses standing on a common platform. The platform divides the mass, reduces its scale and thus fits better into the context of the surroundings, but at the same time completes the block. The distribution of materials allows a view into the courtyard. Both masses consist of four floors, the last last floor is bounced, thus copying the surrounding gabled roofs. The main entrance is from Za Strahovem Street. The entrance floor includes community spaces for meetings and visits, a library with a rest room, a study, a medical facility and a café. On the next floors there are barrier-free flats for seniors and start-up flats for young families in the form of co-housing. Each individual has their own full-fledged housing, but shares common areas.
