COMPLETION OF THE CITY BLOCK ON MINORITES SQUARE IN KRNOV

This project focuses on one of four transformation areas in the historical city centre of Krnov – the Minorites Square. The thesis looks closer into its location, connections to traffic and to Main Square, but mostly its potential use in the future. A new block of buildings is designed providing mostly apartments, with the addition of office spaces, commercial ground floor, and public parking. The thesis further inspects requirements for living in an apartment building and a phenomenon of a city block courtyard as a shared space for inhabitants.
