ÚSTÍ NAD LABEM, EXCLUDED LOCALITIES

The diploma thesis deals with the strategy and concept of urban development in the western part of Ústí nad Labem. The work addresses the issue of residential segregation and social exclusion on the example of a socially excluded locality in Předlice. Emphasis is put on creating new connections throughout the site with the city center and the future recreational belt around Lake Milada. The concept is structured in the form of a broader strategy in connection with individual interventions in the locality, which are presented in the form of an urban study.
