RESTORATION OF THE CASTLE AREA IN ZDIBY NEAR PRAGUE

The stately home and the adjacent farmyard in Zdiby near Prague form a remarkable area. Due to its disturbed fate since the middle of the 20th century, some buildings have been preserved in a torsional state, but it still offers a great potential for tourists, local and civic associations. The diploma thesis deals with the careful restoration of existing buildings, which is possible also thanks to the elaborate architectural history survey. Simultaneously, it tries to add a new contemporary layer that will support the character of the place.
