Annotation

This thesis is concerned with studying and designing the layout concept of the interior space in a transport aircraft Zuri Four. It is a VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) vehicle. It is an aircraft with the purpose of transport, and is able to take off and land in a vertical direction. The flight itself is in a horizontal direction. At present the technology for mass production is in a stage of development. The expected beginning of usage of the UAM (Urban Air Mobility) transport services is said to be in year 2024. And that is why now is the right time to start creating the visual representations of this futuristic transport aircraft. My goal was to create an adequate design for this new way of transport. In cooperation with the Zuri company, developing the Zuri Four aircraft, I have been given a conceptual model of the aircraft with certain specifications for the interior design. The technological limits and specifications concerning the placements of certain vital aspects in the cabin dictated the basic layout of the space, as did essential pieces of equipment and other requirements, so that the passengers travel in comfort according to the standards of this way of transport. The aim of the thesis was to find an appropriate concept for these assigned spaces: commuter cabin – is a cabin able to fit 3 passengers, with maximum usage of the space, and made with the purpose of comfort. cxecutive cabin – luxurious cabin with two seats, made for first-class level of transport, equipped with above average amenities.
