Apartment Building with Library

The apartment building with a library is located in a newly created block in Prague Holešovice, west of today's Nádraží Holešovice metro station. The block is considering the creation of a total of nine new houses, which are connected to one already existing building. The courtyard uses an elevation gain of approximately four meters to create common underground garages for all these houses. Above them there is a common area, containing a playground, greenery and a library pavilion. The house is connected by a western facade to the already existing three-storey historic building. Its location is right on the newly created triangular square, which is to become an important center of this area. That is why the function of the house is a combination of residential use on the floors and a library on the ground floor and the first underground floor. Part of the house is the library pavilion, which grows out of the house and opens into the courtyard.
