Living in the City

The design of two apartment buildings in the Zlíchov district of Prague is an effort to materialize the spirit and richness of the resources of the locality. Emphasis is placed on consistent monitoring of the context of the area, which is given by its specific loca-tion in the narrow neck of the Vltava valley, and on the small scale that results from the village structure of Zlíchov. The work is a proof of understanding the solved area, finding the concept through its design and overall solution. The bachelor's thesis deals with one of two apartment buildings, namely the south house. It consists of one un-derground floor, which is used for parking. Furthermore, three floors above ground for residential and commercial purposes. The fourth floor consists of a gazebo.
