Purpose of the thesis was to design such modifications to the existing courtyard that will support its spatial qualities and complete it with elements that make up the hierarchy in the intimacy of individual spaces. Space delimited by four-floor courtyard facades, due to its proportions, creates semi-private character inside urban structure. For achieving the desired hierarchy of intimacy, in the parterre of the courtyard are designed wooden rounded semitransparent walls (snails). The inner spaces of the snails offer the possibility to stay with the greatest privacy, then around the perimeter for less intimate stay. The overall atmosphere of the courtyard is complemented on the sunny side by a metal structure, providing the means to cultivation of plants and disrupting the monotony of the stone facade. Proposed modifications around the parterre of the object are based on analogical principles as courtyard solutions, it is about its segmentation, division, hierarchy, therefore it is coherent in the sense of public - semi-public - semi-private private space .
