PARK IN FLORENCE

Annotation

Florence is a city able to offer its visitors a number of extraordinary valuable monuments, a unique urban atmosphere and a lively public space. Unfortunately, it also has a big deficit- a small amount of green space. Although, from the point of view of historical development, paving the city's public spaces seems to be a great success, a sign of prosperity and a practical necessity, from today's point of view this fact is rather undesirable due to climate change and conditions in today's cities. Today's city longs for quality public parks, where it would be possible to perform a large number of activities that even the best square does not offer. The proposal attempts to work with this issue. Its main vision is to create a large park, which is located near the city center and is connected to an important tourist site - Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. In addition to its recreational function, the park also offers the possibility of holding landscape festivals, thanks to its exhibition gardens. There is also a market square and craft workshops with accommodation for craftsmen who long for their own studio.
