Dominican nunnery in Prague-Lysolaje

The subject of this thesis is an architectural proposal for a new nunnery building for a community of contemplative nuns of Dominican order in Prague-Lysolaje. The architecture is rooted in long monastic tradition, besides it shall stay comprehensible and presentive for today's public. The convent's premises do not, thanks to their landscape and urban context, urge for a causeless visit. With various levels of intimacy it, however, welcomes those showing a concern.
