Metropolitan building in Prague

The aim of this thesis is the proposal of a new typology of the residential building forms for the specific site and its possible application for quotes and other two similar locations outside the Prague. The work is based on research analysis of regulative, process conditions, and specific examples of realization of foreign housing complexes in Europe. (see Annex diploma seminar) Draft reflects the changes and new tendencies in society, economy and city planning in the early 21st century. Part of this work is the proposal of concrete low-rise apartment buildings with high-density built-up in a suburban area of Prague with scattered houses. The objectives of the proposal are to achieve „city face“ Prague suburb diffuse thickening by low-rise buildings, pointing to possible legislative barriers to the implementation of this type and design of high quality residential environment on the edge of the city and greenery that will be contextual to the original development and will be affordable. Part of this work is urban design of three locations - Trója, Modřany, Radlice, and detailed architectural design of one site in Prague in Troja. By creating a model of the type I created terraced house (max. 2 - storey) and designed possible solutions urban social concept originated principles of the new potential settlement suburb of Prague, which could prevent potential negative effects of present time - center displacement, urbanization, desurbanization and the loss compactness of the city.
