Cheb - Barracs Square completion

The diploma project deals with the importance and role of the Kasární náměstí (Barracks square) in historical city core structure. Critially appraises the spacial and functional links with it´s nearest surroundings - higher situated Kostelní náměstí (Church square) with the Kostel sv. Mikuláše (St. Nicolas Church), historical townhouses and a block of flats. Completion of the square, which lost its function with demolition of former town barracks building, clearly defines the public space and offers the city significant public building for higher education.
