Zdiměřická Area Revitalisation in Jižní Město

The thesis concentrates on searching of the approach for renewal of the housing estate. On the basis of the analyses of Jižní Město, a locality was chosen and underwent the process of public space revision. At the local level, the focus of the project is on the acknowledgement of the urban structure, defining the centre of the locality, the character of the area, outside entrance area of blocks of flats and cultivation of parking places. The second part is the project of the building itself. It is based on the need of completion of the area. The emphasis is put on the contribution to benefits to the residents, providing quality living to the newcomers and completing the offer of various housing. The aim of the project was to offer affordable housing, parking places, services in outside entrance areas and relation to public space.
