OSTRAVA: CENTRAL PARK

The task of the studio work was to propose an urban solution for the location located in the central part of today's Ostrava on both banks of the Odra River. The location has a suburban, sometimes even village character, transitioning into open countryside. The main center of gravity of the entire locality becomes the area defined by the development of the Mariánské Mountains and Hulvák on one side and Nové vsi on the other. This more than 2 km long space is then further divided by visual and functional axes into 3 "regions", each of which has a unique character. In my work, I present a proposal to supplement and make places in the area more attractive. The proposal works with the existing structures of the building and the landscape it complements.
