SPORTS HALL T.J. SOKOLA PRAHA KRÁLOVSKÉ VINOHRADY

The subject of the thesis is the study of a new sports hall with emphasis on sports gymnastics on the former handball court in the vicinity of T.J. Sokol Praha Královské Vinohrady. The aim of the work is to improve the current dismal state of the Sokol sports facilities and to combine them into one operational unit. At the same time it tries to create new opportunities for increasing profitability by creating commercial parts that can to some extent sanitise the current underfunding of the sport. These sections benefit mainly from their location on a hill overlooking the Prague skyline. Last but not least, the intention is to revitalise the area by connecting it with the neighbouring park, which is very popular in Prague and has a large concentration of potential customers or sportsmen.
