DOG SHELTER

Michaela Ivašková

Annotation

Between two railway tracks, under a bridge and behind a bridge, with or without a dog, with or without an owner. A haven for both people and dogs. To wander just for joy. Careless, sincere and intense. Such a dog. I propose a mix of separate buildings that serve the canine community multifunctionally. For those who take care of them, treat them, exercise with them, cuddle with them or meet each other. The buildings respond to the shape of the plot and push towards its edges to embrace the wild park and create a screen from the traffic. In its close proximity, a unique place is created to remind of small-townness. Low but close buildings, sloping roofs, unimproved terrain, brick, sheet metal. So that abandoned, sick or unwanted dogs can spread joy and wag their their tails again.
