Philharmony for Prague

New concert hall for Prague in the Lannova street. Counterpoint to National Theater on the line of former Old Town defensive wall in immediate vicinity of river Vltava. Main topic of this work is examination of this location and a design of a new concert hall and the seat of the Czech Philharmonic orchestra at this spot. The Rudolfinum, as the present seat, doesn´t offer a sufficient amount of space and doesn´t allow for the Czech Philharmonic to blossom. With a new classical music concert hall the city of Prague could do a first step to become a cultural metropolis in the heart of Europe again. Dealing with the connection between the river and the plot, integrating the building in to the city structure, creating new and pleasant target not only for visitors of evening concerts and creating a place for activities and meeting are goals which this work is trying to solve.
